The British Home in California is an independent nonprofit corporation. Its connection with the Daughters of the British Empire (DBE) is part of its philanthropic history; the DBE and the Home are separate nonprofit corporations.
Here in Sierra Madre, the cottage campus offers a distinct residential setting. British ancestry is not required to make the Home your own.
